ร้านที่รับอาบน้ำแมวมักจะรับอาบน้ำหมาด้วย แต่ร้านที่อาบน้ำหมาไม่ทุกร้านที่จะรับอาบน้ำแมว เพราะความเรื่องมาก เอาใจยากของแมวนี่แหละ ที่ทำให้ช่างเอ่ยปากบ่นถึงขั้นต้องขอดูแมวก่อน และขอคุยด้วยแป๊บนึงก่อนจะรับปากอาบให้ เพราะแมวสก็อตติชโฟลด์ ควรอาบน้ำเดือนละ 1 ครั้ง ถ้านานไปขนจะเกาะกันแกะยากมาก แล้วถ้าแมวไม่ยอมให้อาบน้ำก็เป็นอันจบอาบไม่ได้ แล้วคุณชายจะได้อาบน้ำมั้ยเนี่ย หลังจากดูตัวโกเมส คุณชายก็สอบผ่านเกณฑ์ได้เข้าอาบน้ำในซาลอน “ตอนดูตัวชายก็แค่นั่งเฉยๆ ทำหน้ากลมๆ น่ารักๆ แค่นี้พี่เขาก็รักชายแล้ว” คุณชายกล่าวอย่างภูมิใจ แล้วคุณชายก็ได้อาบน้ำ ทำเล็บ เช็ดหู และเป่าขนซะพองไปทั้งตัว หอมคลุ้งไปทั่วร้าน พี่คนอาบกล่าวชมคุณชายว่าเรียบร้อยมาก ไม่ดื้อเลย ร้องเฉพาะตอนอาบ แต่ตอนเป่านี้ทำท่าเหมือนอยากอยู่นี่ ทิ้งตัวนอนหงายให้เป่าตามสบาย แต่แมวสก็อตติชโฟลด์ หมอประจำตัวคุณชายแนะนำให้เช็ดหูเองด้วย เพราะแมวหูพับจะมีจุดอ่อนเรื่องหูที่เล็ก ระบายอาศไม่ดี น้ำอาจตกค้างตามรอยหยักข้างใน ทำให้เป็นเชื้อราหรือยีสต์ได้ ถ้าให้ดีควรเช็ดทำความสะอาดหูอาทิตย์ละ 3 ครั้ง ด้วยน้ำยาเช็ดหู และคัทตอลบัทก้านเล็ก ไม่งั้นจะเช็ดเข้าไปไม่ถึง อยู่บ้านคืนนั้น คุณชายมั่นใจกับขนที่ปุยสลวยสุขภาพดีและไม่พันกันของตัวเองเป็นอย่างมาก คุณชายนอนพองตัวอย่างสบายใจกลางบ้าน แล้วก็ยิ้มภูมิใจในความน่ารักของตัวเอง

Not every pet salon welcomes cats, because of their independent nature that’s hard to understand. One Salon girl asked to see the cat and have a little chat first before welcoming him. She said normally Scottish fold should be given a shower once a month. If they are left too long, their fur tends to stick together and becomes very hard to comb. And one more thing if cats didn’t want to be given a bath, she couldn’t do it. I was worried if Gomez would pass her inspection. After Salon girl examined Gomez for a while, she welcomed him to her salon. “I just sat and gave her a lovely look with my round face. That was it. She loved me”. Gomez said proudly. So Gomez was taken for shower, manicure, ear cleaning and blow dry there. His hair got furry and he smelled nice all over.

The Salon girl was happy with Gomez. She said Gomez was lovely and gentle. He cried only having the shower. But when being blow dried, he seemed to want to stay here. Anyway Gomez’s personal vet recommended we dry his ears again when we got home. Actually Scottish folds need to have their ears cleaned 3 times a week with mini cotton buds and ear cleasing because of their small folded ears.

That night furry Gomez lay down in the middle of the house feeling proud with his beautiful hair and his charms. He smiled to himself happily.
