ถึงโกเมส คุณชายที่น่ารัก

แม้ว่าคุณชายจะใช้เวลาส่วนมากของวันไปกับการนอนพักผ่อน อย่างไม่ได้มีงานจับหนู ไล่จิ้งจก หรือไล่แมวแปลกหน้าอย่างที่แมวโดยทั่วไปเขาทำกัน ก็ไม่ต้องรู้สึกผิดหรอกนะ เพราะแค่คุณชายย่างเท้าเข้ามาอยู่ที่บ้าน กลิ่นตัวแมวของคุณชายก็ได้ไล่ตะเพิดหนูไปเรียบร้อยแล้ว หรือแม้แต่ยุงที่คุณชายพยายามตะปปอย่างเอาเป็นเอาตายตอนตื่น ก็ไม่กล้าบินเฉียดมาใกล้ด้วยความกลัวอุ้งมือกลมพิฆาตของคุณชายจะตะปบโดนจนยอมล่าถอยไป ซึ่งสร้างความประทับใจให้พวกเราทุกคน แม้คุณชายจะนอนกินบ้านกินเมืองจนคุณยายเอ่ยปากว่า “โกเมสไม่เห็นทำท่าอะไรให้ดูเลย ได้แต่นอนทั้งวัน” ซึ่งคงไปเข้าหูคุณชายทำให้คุณชายรู้สึกผิดจนต้องอดหลับอดนอน ลุกขึ้นทำท่าหาของในตู้เย็นอย่างขะมักเขม้น แว่บแรกเราคิดว่าคุณชายคงจะหาขนมของโปรดแน่ๆ เราเลยปล่อยให้คุณชายหาอยู่พักใหญ่ แต่คิดอีกทีถึงได้รู้ว่าคุณชายคงรู้สึกผิดและอยากช่วยหยิบจับอะไรบ้าง เลยลุกขึ้นมาทำท่าจะช่วยทำกับข้าว แต่มือกลมๆ ของคุณชายจะไปหั่นพริก หรือล้างผักได้ยังไงกัน แต่เราก็ซาบซึ้งในน้ำใจของคุณชายมาก เลยตั้งใจเขียนจดหมายวางไว้ให้คุณชายอ่านตอนตื่น ขอแค่คุณชายน่ารักแบบนี้  ยอมให้อุ้มนานๆ หน่อย ไม่ดื้อ คุณชายก็ได้ใจเราทุกคนแล้ว นอนเอาที่สบายใจเลยนะคุณชาย พวกเราเข้าใจ คุณยายโอเค

Dear Gomez, our princely cat,

Although you spend most of the day sleeping and not doing any of cat’s work, such as catching mice, chasing lizards or chasing stranger cats walking near our vicinity, don’t be upset, your smell has already chased them away all the mice and even the mosquitos. They are afraid of your strong round paws hitting them. That’s quite impressive. What grand ma said about your sleeping all day was her having some fun, You may heard of it anyway. So the other day, you seemed to be trying to do something with the fridge. At first, I thought you just wanted to find your sweets. Then I realized that you were trying to give us a hand helping us to prepare dinner. But how can you with your round paws chop chilli or clean vegetables? That’s your loveliness. So I wrote this letter  for you to read when I went away and you woke up. You are just this cute boy and let me hold you for a little longer. That’s all we’d like to ask from you. You can sleep as long as you like. We understand and grand ma is okay with it. Don’t worry.
