Going away with a cat is one thing I can’t do with Gomez. He’s isn’t an easy going cat. I have to go to Chinese funeral ceremony upcountry for a couple of days. What can I do with him? So it’s either Cat Hotel or Cat Nursery. However, choosing one for Gomez, a quiet and frightened cat, is not easy. This is how I choose a cat nursery for him. Here are some useful tips for other fussy cats as well.
- Research and visit the place to make sure it’s safe and clean for a cat.
- Cat Hotel or Nursery which is nearby is much more convenient both for us humans and a cat. It reduces stress and exhaustion during transportation.
- Inform the cat’s preference by making a note and give to the ones taking care of him. So the cat and the lady will know each other.
- Bring the cat to survey the place. So the cat will feel more comfortable staying there by himself with someone he has been introduced in the place he has been to before.
- Bring the cat’s stuff with him. Personal belongings for cats are their safe zone. He will need them to assure himself that he will be okay here.
- Choose good place but not a luxury one. A cat needs very few accessories. What they need is the feeling of love, safety and cleanliness. So if a person who runs the business has a good heart, it’s definitely a good choice.
Well, that’s how I choose the place for Gomez, who will be in the nursery for a couple of days. It’s a kind of rehearsal before staying longer on my next trip. Perhaps Gomez gets nervous as a boy going to do camping for the first time. Although he already surveyed the place himself, no one knows yet what he will be like. I’ll tell that story when I return home.
