โกเมส เป็นแมวมีพุงตั้งแต่หนุ่ม อาจเป็นเพราะความปลื้มขนมแมวเลียเป็นที่สุด หรืออาจเพราะความเป็นแมวสุขุมที่ไม่อยากเสียลุคด้วยการกระโดดโลดเต้น จึงให้เวลาส่วนใหญ่กับการนอน และเลียพุง

คุณชายต้องต่อสู้กับเสียงวิจารณ์ ตลอดทั้งเสียงหัวเราะเยาะของคนที่มองอย่างยิ้มเยาะชอบใจทุกครั้งที่คุณชายเดินนวยนาด คุณยายจะหัวเราะและชี้ชวนบอกทุกคนว่า “ดูสิ โกเมสเดินส่ายท้องมาโน่นละ” หรือบางทีก็ตะโกนเรียกชายซะดังว่า “คิงคอง” บ้า ใครจะไปหัน คุณชายนึกในใจเลยเดินเลี่ยงมาอีกทางแล้วมานอนเลียพุงที่เขาว่าอย่างไม่แคร์เสียงวิจารณ์หรือสายตา โกเมสบรรจงเลียขนฟูที่ท้องซ้ำๆ หลายรอบอย่างทะนุถนอมจนขนที่ท้องชื้น กว่าจะยอมผ่านไปที่ส่วนอื่น คุณชายไม่เคยคิดพุงห้อยๆ ของตัวเองมันไม่ดีตรงไหน จะห้อย จะใหญ่ ยังไงก็พุงเรา จะไปไม่ชอบมันทำไมกัน คนต่างหากที่เสียเวลาไปกับการไปชอบในแบบของคนอื่น ลืมมองเห็นคุณค่าในสิ่งที่ตัวเองมี มองเห็นแต่ข้อบกพร่องเพียงเล็กน้อย แต่มองข้ามสิ่งที่ดีมากมาย นี่คงเป็นสิ่งที่แมวคุณชายอย่างโกเมสมองคนด้วยความไม่เข้าใจ ก่อนจะหาวแล้วนอนจมไปกับพุงที่ปุยฟูและหลับไปอย่างมีความสุข

Gomez has had a big and soft belly since he was young. Maybe because he loves sweets too much or he loves to keep his look cool, not be too silly by jumping around. So he spends most of his time sleeping and cleaning his fur especially his stomach.

Gomez has to be a determined cat to love his figure no matter how big it looks. People laugh at him and talk behind his back about his clumsy walk. Grandma is the one who always laughs and points at him when he walks “Look at Gomez, His belly is dancing while walking” or she calls out loudly “Kingkong” Gomez hears but he ignores her and doesn’t response. He finds his peaceful place and cleans himself carefully especially  his belly. He licks the flabby fur delicately. He wonders why humans waste so much time seeking something they don’t have. People aren’t happy with how they look. They want to look like someone else. They seem to be so clear what they miss out but blind to what makes them special and unique. Gomez never understands that. He is tired of his thought now so he sinks into his flabby fur and sleeps happily all afternoon.
